That's right guys , We did it . The 2007 Donovans Reef Softball team is your Connecticut "E" Division state Champions . We came in as the #1 seed and did not dissapoint by going undefeated in the tourney on saturday and coming back on Sunday and taking the title game for the championship .
This year ASA started the "E" league because the "D" league (which we have played in for 7 years now) has gotten out of control . All your upper class "C" teams were dropping down and playing in "D" for a better shot at nationals and it was ruining it for the teams like ours who cant compete with these teams so ASA started the "E" league for teams who are regular guys with above average talent but not these super teams that play tournies every weekend and we were the 1st ever CT E Champions . We wound up beating Helwigs out of Milford for the title . There were alot of very good teams but none could match our desire and heart this season , our group of guys really wanted this and played as a solid unit right down to the final out .
I really proud of our team , as you can tell, and here's the hardware we took home for this season :
Our Complete Championship Haul
Our Championship Trophy
A Close Up of our nameplate
Our Championship Plaque
We have an automatic bid to next years tourney so we will be back as defending state champs so all you E teams lookout ! It was a very good weekend INDEED !
Here we go ...

1,500 inmates from a prison in the Philippines reenact Michael Jackson's "Thriller." Apparently this isn't intended as a punishment, and it's just a practice session, but they're looking pretty good so far.....THIS IS AWESOME . Here are the same inmates doing Radio Gaga by Queen
